unsure of what happened

an endless "to do" list
written across
teeth.

My laughing face
even though it
does not get
the joke.

Happy face
Sunday afternoon
listening to the sounds
of the marathon runners
footsteps and the crowd's
screams on the street
below.

Dead.
A mask
dreaming
he was once beloved
upon this Earth.
